Can you help our garden grow?
With a thriving garden to maintain and a £40,000 sum to raise for specialist help, insurance, and new trees, plants and bulbs, annually, there are no limits to the ways that you can help. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Enter a sponsored race, challenge or event. We get a limited number of places each year for large events like the London Marathon, and The Royal Parks Half Marathon.  Contact us for more info

  • Throw a party in your garden from a BBQ with family or friends to a coffee morning or even afternoon tea and ask your guests to make a donation to the Healing Garden

  • Corporate sponsorship and match-funding Could your company sponsor an event, or match-fund your own challenge? Read more

Corporate volunteers Take a day out and join us in the garden either on your own or with colleagues. Your group will be guided throughout the day by an experienced member of the Healing Garden team.  No gardening experience is necessary.

We welcome volunteers from a variety of companies for an unforgettable day in the garden, from a single employee to a team of up to 15.

Previous teams have helped us with planting bulbs, weeding, potting up young seedlings, pruning and clearing, building a bug hotel, sowing wildflower seeds and planting plugs, and even painting our potting shed.

We tailor the day to your team and to the individuals taking part.  In volunteering with us not only will they be helping their mental and physical wellbeing with a day spent in nature, but they will have the satisfaction of helping us keep the garden maintained in a sustainable way for Harefield Hospital’s patients, their visitors, and staff.

We do ask for a nominal donation to help us run these days for volunteering teams of more than two people, which covers all associated staff time and the cost of tools, plant materials, insurance, and refreshments.

Volunteering with us in the Healing Garden is good news for your company too; By encouraging your employees to volunteer towards improving the biodiversity and environment of the hospital and the wellbeing of its patients, your company will be helping improve the wellbeing of its employees, as well as contributing towards its own environmental social and governance principles.

We have repeat visits from Corporate volunteers so we’re pretty sure that they enjoy the experience, and we really appreciate their help.

This garden is funded entirely by the generosity of people like you. Any amount, no matter how great or small, helps to ensure that The Healing Garden will always be there for those who need it.

We need to raise £40,000 a year to cover the cost of professional help, tools, materials, plants and insurance to keep the garden in top condition.

All funds raised to go to the Harefield Healing Garden; a restricted appeal of the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, Registered Charity No. 1053584
